Nowadays, the issue “How do you attract local people to visit museums or historical sites” has been receiving a great deal of public attention. Although this problem can be attributed from whole host of other reasons, some feasible solutions can take account into to address it.
First, since most museum’s layout has remain unchanged through years, they become familiar with many people here, especially is the adult. In fact, local people can understand the original, history about sites by parental narratives or gossips around them. This makes them unwilling to pay the gate tickets or spend time to visit such places.
Second, by the society become more and more developed, people tend to spend their interests to entertaining programs or innovations around them. In fact, after a nerve-working time in company, they want to immerse in feeling free, relax and let off some steam with fun or new things, which makes them choose sticking eyes into the screen or taking part in outdoor activities instead of trapping oneself in a museum.
However, there are some solutions to mitigate this problem.
First, in order to attract local people, the museums should be updated in the modern way. For example, information and subjects can be displayed platform 3D technology, which makes information source become more fascinated to visitors.
Second, by coordinating to locality officers to hold contests or compulsory study tours for students, it is a great idea to increase the attraction to local people. In fact, such contests encourage attendances to research and study by reality understanding, which makes motivation to them visit and investigate the history of historical museums.
In conclusion, although this problem is facing many difficulties, there are not without feasible solutions to solve this issue. By applying methods such as innovating exhibition modes or holding study tours, study contests, the museums will be a must-visit destination to not only local people, but also tourists in row and down the road.
