AI? Is it an Ape Intelligence?

Brainpower_Expert

Not even close. It’s a bunch of data being statistically meaningful. It does not possess real intelligence.

You hit the nail on the head :+1:

I don’t have a ChatGPT account and don’t want to create one, so I don’t know how ChatGPT answers the same questions formulated differently… but I’m pretty sure AI-driven apps like ChatGPT respond the same way Google does. I found this article “The ‘Bias Machine’: How Google tells you what you want to hear” on the BBC website and wanted to share it with you. It’s interesting because there are people who really believe in these kinds of “grubs” spewed out by AI-driven apps.

ApeUntelligence

You’re stuck in the past. Google is now adding the functionality that generative AI does. Therefore, don’t understand what “Google does” means?

At least it works with this prompt: “Generate an image of dumb monkey trying to understand how computer works”

 Some people put their lives in the hands of their AI-controlled cars because they want to be sophisticated, modern and en vogue. Or some people have committed suicide because of an AI chatbot…

I’m more of a yesterday’s man than an “AI” believer.
@superthin Are you an “AI” believer?

Update:

It’s interesting because there are people who really believe in these kinds of “grubs” spewed out by AI-driven apps.

It is a BBC article, by the way, and my comment clearly shows that I found it interesting, because many people blindly believe in AI, but for me AI is always a product of accumulated individual ideas that are neither better nor worse than mine. In scientific terms: AI is not a law of nature like in physics.

Believe it or not? I don’t think AI can be a God.

You can read Vietnamese language, so I want to tell you that “AI” in my mind is “Who”.

I don’t post in Vietnamese because my laptop is American and I don’t know how to put accents like a ^ over the e as in “Tiếng Việt”. Out of respect for the Vietnamese language, I refuse to write in incomplete Vietnamese without these accents.
