Silicon Valley is enormous. The closer you live to a hub like Apple (Cupertino), Google (Mountain View), or Oracle (Redwood), the more expensive the rent for a small apartment becomes. Don’t make the mistake of seeking out fellow Vietnamese to distract yourself when you first feel homesick. This will only distract you from integrating into American society and worsen your English skills.
